The Seoul Crisis Intervention Center for Women and Children provides a wide range of services including 24/7 counseling, medical, legal, psychotherapy or violence investigation services to the victims of sexual abuse, family violence and sex trafficking to prevent and intervene in secondary abuse.
This center offers psychological counseling, legal services and investigation of abuse situations as well as medical diagnoses for battered women of all ages, children under the age of 13 and the mentally handicapped who have experienced sexual abuse.
It also provides family counseling services to reinforce family bonds and empower individual family members to create a support network for victims.
This center was established through an agreement among the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, Seoul Metropolitan City, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency and Seoul National University Hospital and is operated by Seoul National University Hospital.
A group of experts, which includes a psychiatrist, nurse, counselor, clinical psychologist, therapist, and policewoman, provide comprehensive services for victims.
